As we forge ahead in our mission to drive systemic change within the venture capital industry, I am thrilled to announce that Kareema Thomas has joined BLCK VC as our new Chief of Staff. This marks a significant step in our strategic growth and operational development.
Kareema brings with her a wealth of experience in operational and strategic roles from organizations including SAP.iO, Google, GitHub, HashiCorp and Vercel. At SAP.iO, Kareema managed operations for the San Francisco fund and foundry, spearheading efforts dedicated to fostering inclusive entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship. Additionally, her experience directly supporting senior leadership with organizational design and strategic initiatives as Senior Business Manager at GitHub, and later as Chief of Staff at Vercel, has positioned her as a dynamic leader adept at navigating complex organizational landscapes particularly during times of immense change and rapid growth. Her demonstrated success in optimizing organizational processes and her keen understanding of the operational requirements perfectly align with our goals and development here at BLCK VC.
In her new role, Kareema will collaborate closely with myself and our COO, Naima Warsame, to refine operations and lead strategic efforts that advance our mission to amplify the representation and success of Black investors in venture capital. She will be instrumental in managing and fortifying our relationships with our strategic partners, a cornerstone of our continued growth.
Kareema joins us at a pivotal moment as we stand poised to significantly broaden our impact and efficacy within the venture ecosystem. Her experience and leadership are vital assets that will undoubtedly empower our team to achieve new possibilities.
